The 14th International Conference on Applications of Statistics and Probability in Civil Engineering (ICASP14) will be held at Trinity College Dublin (Dublin, Ireland) from July 9th to 13th, 2023.
Located in a beautiful campus in the heart of Dublin's city centre, Trinity is Ireland's highest ranked university. It is home to 18,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across all the major disciplines in the arts and humanities, and in business, law, engineering, science, and health sciences.
Trinity's tradition of independent intellectual inquiry has produced some of the world's finest, most original minds including the writers Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett (Nobel laureate), the scientists William Rowan Hamilton and Ernest Walton (Nobel laureate), the political thinker Edmund Burke, and the former President of Ireland and UNHCR Mary Robinson. This tradition finds expression today in a campus culture of scholarship, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and dedication to societal reform.
The ICASP 14 Conference is being hosted by the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
The City: Dublin
Dublin is an exciting and dynamic European City, with a young and growing population. It is a city of contrasts, with Medieval and Georgian heritage sitting next to new tech hubs. We have classic Irish Pubs, cheek by jowl with modern café bars, offering an opportunity to hear renowned traditional Irish music or maybe sample some contemporary Irish rock. Dublin has culture in abundance not least the literary heritage of Jonathan Swift, Bram Stoker and James Joyce, and you can visit the Dublin Writer’s Museum, the Joyce Centre, or the hidden gem of Marsh's Library where Swift wrote Gulliver's Travels. Dublin has a busy, lively city centre, but is surrounded by the wonderful scenery such as Dublin Bay and the Dublin and Wicklow mountains. So, whether you want to drink a pint of Guinness in a packed pub or go for a ramble along a pier and feed the seals, Dublin has something for everyone!
